SUMMARY:Rainbow Registered Presents: GENDERCRAFT  (Part 4)
DESCRIPTION:A Deeper Dive on Gender Identity & Gender Expression\n\n\n\n\n\nGender Expression Applications \n\n\n\nThis module begins with a review of best practices related to supporting people with diverse gender identities in three areas: personal support\, institutional practices\, and environmental experiences. \n\n\n\nFollowing this review\, there is a brief discussion of current political realities facing people with diverse gender identities\, composed of discussing international context and reviewing current Canadian issues. \n\n\n\nThe bulk of the module will be a discussion of four scenarios. Each participant will have time to discuss two scenarios in detail\, and review the other two scenarios as part of a debrief. Each scenario has proposed discussion questions\, and most scenarios also include suggested scripts for practice. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n Our Team \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Eliot Newton (they|them) \n\n \n \n \n Genderbandit \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Eliot Newton (they|them) \n\n \n \n \n Genderbandit \n \n \n u003cp style=u0022text-align: leftu0022u003eu003cspan data-teams=u0022trueu0022u003eu003ciu003eEliot Newton is a genderqueer activist and educator who has been working in the 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion field for twelve years. SUMMARY:Webinar Wednesday : The Stories We Inherit\, The Businesses We Build: Understanding Strategy in a World Full of Noise
DESCRIPTION:Session 1: The Stories We Inherit\, The Businesses We Build: Understanding Strategy in a World Full of Noise  \n\n\n\nThis session introduces participants to the foundations of strategic thinking and explores why many entrepreneurs mistake activity for strategy. \n\n\n\nThrough the lens of queer entrepreneurship\, participants will examine how societal expectations\, business myths\, and inherited ideas about success can shape the way we make decisions in our businesses. \n\n\n\nThe session will explore: \n\n\n\n\nWhat strategy is and what it is not\n\n\n\nThe difference between goals\, vision\, and strategy\n\n\n\nWhy many businesses operate without a clear strategy\n\n\n\nCommon characteristics of “bad strategy\,” including vague ambitions\, endless to-do lists\, and the pressure to do everything at once\n\n\n\nHow successful organizations identify and focus on their most important challenges\n\n\n\nThe role of focus\, prioritization\, and trade-offs in building sustainable businesses\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will be introduced to a simple Strategic Diagnosis Framework that can be used to evaluate business decisions and identify where time\, energy\, and resources can have the greatest impact. \n\n\n\nBy the end of the session\, participants will have a practical understanding of strategic thinking and a framework they can apply to their own businesses\, creative practices\, and entrepreneurial projects.
