SUMMARY:Meet TJX Canada!
DESCRIPTION:At TJX\, inclusion and diversity have been an important part of who we are for many years. The value we place on diversity extends across our organization and includes our effort to find opportunities for diverse suppliers. \n\n\n\nThrough our work\, we aim to create meaningful partnerships\, increase opportunities for growth and development for diverse businesses\, and help contribute to the economic well-being of our communities. \n\n\n\nAll diverse-owned businesses are encouraged to register on our supplier diversity portal. While registering with us does not guarantee a business opportunity\, it helps us better understand suppliers’ capabilities and experience. We contact suppliers that meet our criteria if we have an appropriate\, matching opportunity to participate in the request for proposal process or ask that suppliers submit requirements for consideration. \n\n\n\nCategories we support: \n\n\n\nServices: \n\n\n\n\nHuman Resources\n\n\n\nTravel\n\n\n\nMarketing\n\n\n\nProfessional Services\n\n\n\nPayments\n\n\n\nConstruction\n\n\n\nFixtures\n\n\n\nLoss Prevention\n\n\n\n\nSupply Chain: \n\n\n\n\nLogistics\n\n\n\nDistribution Services\n\n\n\nSupplies\n\n\n\n\nInterested in learning more about some of our Corporate Partners? SUMMARY:Navigating 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity & Inclusion in the Tourism Industry (ACOA) October 2024
DESCRIPTION:This training is funded by the Government of Canada through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA). \n\n\n\nThe global 2SLGBTQI+ travel market is valued at more than US$200B annually. Canadian destinations are well-positioned to grow their share of this market. But in order to be successful\, destinations and operators must ensure that 2SLGBTQI+ customers feel welcome\, accepted\, and served in a way that exceeds their expectations and accommodates their needs. \n\n\n\nTo support efforts in developing market-ready products\, CQCC’s Navigating 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity and Inclusion in the Tourism Industry helps tourism-based businesses learn about 2SLGBTQI+ inclusion and how to effectively understand\, value\, and serve 2SLGBTQI+ customers and employees.

SUMMARY:Navigating 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity & Inclusion in the Tourism Industry (ACOA) September 2024

SUMMARY:Meet the City of Brampton
DESCRIPTION:The Purchasing Division is part of the Office of the CAO and is the centralized group responsible for the procurement of all goods\, services and construction for the City. Purchasing uses a variety of procurement methods\, in accordance with the Purchasing By-law\, encouraging the competitive bid process. Purchasing adopts the goal of fairness by ensuring that all who wish to compete for the opportunity to sell to the City can do so. \n\n\n\nIn line with Brampton City Council’s priorities of creating more opportunities and embedding diversity in our operations\, the City launched a Supply Chain Diversity program. \n\n\n\nWe have embedded supplier diversity as part of the City’s Invitational Procurement process ($25\,000 to $100\,000). Suppliers who would like to participate in this program will have to be certified as a diverse supplier through established non-profit Supplier Certification Organizations. \n\n\n\nGoods and services the City of Brampton purchases to name a few: \n\n\n\n•       Construction of buildings and infrastructure \n\n\n\n•       Renovation and Maintenance of buildings \n\n\n\n•       Snow removal and landscaping services \n\n\n\n•       Janitorial services \n\n\n\n•       Security services \n\n\n\n•       Electrical services \n\n\n\n•       Plumbing services \n\n\n\n•       Office supplies \n\n\n\n•       Consulting and professional services \n\n\n\n•       Fleet vehicles \n\n\n\n•       Clothing\, Uniforms\, Safety Clothing \n\n\n\n•       Pest control services \n\n\n\n•       Concession Foods and Equipment \n\n\n\n•       Courier services \n\n\n\n•       Specialized equipment for Fire and Emergency Services  \n\n\n\n•       Fuel \n\n\n\n•       Advertising \n\n\n\n•       Specialized services for the Rose Theatre \n\n\n\n\n \n Our Team \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Claudia Santeramo (She/Her) \n\n \n Manager\, Procurement Performance \n \n \n \n City of Brampton

SUMMARY:Navigating 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity & Inclusion in the Tourism Industry (ACOA) August 2024

SUMMARY:Navigating 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity & Inclusion in the Tourism Industry (ACOA) July 2024
