SUMMARY:Storytelling and how it relates to Business Writing
DESCRIPTION:Online SeminarTuesday\, October 41:00 – 2:00 p.m. EST \n\n\n\nAs humans\, we use stories to understand and find meaning in things. Stories are how we make sense of a world. In a business context\, we constantly need to make decisions or have others understand our way of thinking. This is why having a good understanding of storytelling is vital. It can be a powerful tool for persuasion. Often\, when we write at work\, we are looking to move people. \n\n\n\nIn partnership with Brainspired Publishing\, CCQC will host a seminar discussing storytelling and how we can use the skill in business writing. Hear from four 2SLGBTQI+Q2S+ authors about their processes and discover how it applies to business. A question and answer period with the authors will be included. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re submitting a bid\, writing a case study\, creating a strategic presentation\, or writing for internal or external communications – your aim is to show colleagues your point of view\, encourage decision-makers to buy\, sell\, or sign off on a project. Using a storytelling structure in any of these contexts will appeal to the humanity of those to whom you’re presenting. Appeal to human nature and you’ll hold their attention\, keep them engaged and increase the likelihood of moving them towards your position. \n\n\n\nWhat will you learn? \n\n\n\nHow storytelling can improve your business writing: \n\n\n\nDuring sales calls with prospective clients and while networkingIn reports to show successes to your BoardTo increase employee awareness and engagement through internal communications (for example\, in internal newsletters and emails\, on the intranet or staff chat platforms)In any presentation to show the value of what you do\n\n\n\nWho should attend? \n\n\n\nEveryone whose job includes writing and communication. \n\n\n\nModerator: Antoine Elhashem (INspired Media Inc. / Brainspired Publishing) \n\n\n\nAuthors/Speakers: Joie Lamar (Owner Brainchild Holdings\, Brainspired Publishing partner with INspired Media)\, Wayne Douglas Harrison\, Denise Easson\, and Joelle Circé Laramée. \n\n\n\nCHECK OUT THE WORK OF THESE AUTHORS HERE: http://brainspiredpublishing.com/our-catalog  \n\n\n\nYou may only have 30 seconds to sell your business. Learn how to sell your business by registering today for Storytelling and how it relates to Business Writing.

SUMMARY:Navigating 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity & Inclusion in the Tourism Industry – Webinar (Oct 4th\, 2022)
DESCRIPTION:The global 2SLGBTQI+ travel market is valued at more than US$200B annually. Canadian destinations are well positioned to grow their share of this market.
