Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Liana Georgiewa as Chief Operating Officer

The Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce (CQCC) is pleased to welcome Liana Georgiewa as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Bringing more than eight years of international leadership experience across the nonprofit, private, and public sectors, Liana joins the organization at an exciting time of growth and momentum as CQCC continues to expand its support for 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs, businesses, and professionals across Canada and beyond.

Throughout her career, she has managed multi-million-euro portfolios, built and led cross-functional teams, and cultivated strategic partnerships with government, industry, and community organizations.

Her work spans AI-enabled innovation, organizational growth, diversity and inclusion, and international advocacy, including leadership roles in Germany and global initiatives supporting LGBTQI+ communities. Recognized for both her strategic vision and operational expertise, Liana has a proven track record of driving meaningful impact while helping organizations scale and innovate.

“The work CQCC does to support queer businesses and ensure our community’s voice is heard through an economic lens is not only innovative, but also really powerful,” says Georgiewa. “Reflecting on the events surrounding [Christopher Street Day] in my hometown of Berlin this past month, I know that representation and inclusion cannot be taken for granted. I am truly excited to join the team and work together to further strengthen and advance our impact across Canada and beyond.”

As Chief Operating Officer, Liana will help guide CQCC’s continued growth and strengthen the organization’s capacity to serve 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses across Canada. Her leadership will play an important role as CQCC expands its programs, deepens partnerships, and advances economic opportunities for queer business communities.
