  1. What is your role at CQCC?

My role is Intern, Youth Development Coordinator.

  2. Before working at CQCC, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Prior to CQCC, the most interesting job I had would have to be working at a hotel in Niagara Falls. All the different people you could meet in a day really made the job exciting and fun, plus it was fun to practice speaking other languages with guests.

  3. What drew you to CQCC originally?

Being able to help the 2SLGBTQI+ community and really showcase the potential that has yet to be unlocked is what drew me to CQCC. I knew that I wanted to be a part of something that gave people hope and a sense of purpose and I truly believe the CQCC does that.

  4. How will this position with the CQCC help you in your career development?

I hope that when my internship is completed that I will be ending the term more adaptable, collaborative, and independent than when I first came in. I also hope to relate these qualities with my schooling, allowing me to become a better student and when the time comes, an excellent worker.

  5. Who would your dream dinner guest be?

My dream dinner guest would have to be Harriet Tubman. I think she could teach me a lot about courage, perseverance and leadership.
